THIGH LIFT
Excess skin and fat are removed from the thigh.
This may be done with or without liposuction and surgical approaches vary depending on where most of the excess is distributed. This improves the contour and shape of the thigh.
The procedure can take between 2 to 4 hours and is done under general anaesthetic. Common side effects include wound breakdown due to the tight closure and patient movement. The scars may also widen. the wound is treated with dressings. Complications may include bleeding, infection and fluid collection.
The recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks. During the first 4 weeks, movement is restricted including excess flexion.
