CALF IMPLANTS
Well defined, more shaped and larger calf muscles (muscles just below the knee)
Silicone implants are inserted into the skin and the leg muscles. The scar is well hidden in the crease behind the knee. The implants increase the circumference of the leg and also gives it slight definition.
Duration of the procedure is between 60- 90minutes and can be done as an inpatient or outpatient.
General anaesthesia or sedation with regional and local anaesthesia may be used. Side effects include mild discomfort, swelling and bruising
Complications could potentially include bleeding, infection, implant too big causing tightness and pain, implant rupture and contraction
